The event was hosted at the Panchayat office in Bajachak, R.S. Pura, and was graced by the presence of Fr. Senoj Thomas (Director CSSS) alongside local Panchayat officials, progressive farmers, and R.S.Pura Project team.
The ceremony commenced with a heartfelt reception of the CSSS Director by the Panchayat officials, setting a tone of community and cooperation. The Project manager took the opportunity to elucidate the ongoing work and contributions of CSSS in the region, highlighting their commitment to fostering growth and self-reliance among the local populace. Director Fr. Senoj Thomas expressed his gratitude for the community's warm reception and encouraged the people to explore diverse avenues for improving their livelihoods. The Panchayat officials applauded the organization's efforts in introducing various developmental opportunities to the impoverished and marginalized segments of the farming community, particularly women.
As the event progressed, the mushroom grow bags were distributed to the beneficiaries, tailored to meet their individual needs and available space. This initiative is a strategic component of CSSS's broader mission to tackle socio-economic challenges and nurture autonomy among the underprivileged. Mushroom farming has emerged as a viable and lucrative option for income generation, requiring modest initial investment while promising substantial returns.
