A competition for specially-abled children was organized by Star Communications (Event Management Company) on 10th February 2019 at Auditorium of Information Department, Bahu Plaza, Jammu. Various NGOs in Jammu took active part in the competition. There were various activities such as 100-meter Wheelchair race, on spot painting competition, singing competition and dance performance by specially abled children. The special guest present at the occasion was Dr. Aijaz Ashai (Bollywood celebrity and physiotherapist).
Total of 11 students from St. John’s Rehabilitation Center, Mandal participated in the painting competition. The children were accompanied by Sr. Annett, Sr. Shelly, Dr. Shervinder Kour and our special educators.
Preeti Devi, one of our students badged first prize in painting competition. She was applauded for her efforts, hard work and skills. The competition ended with a motivational speech by Dr. Aijaz, and lauded the efforts put on by the event organizers and encouraged them to conduct more of such programs in the near future.
